DIRECTOR’S NOTES
Heathers, The Musical is based on the 1980’s movie that became a cult classic. The movie is similar to Mean Girls with a much darker, psychopathic twist. The musical is known for its iconic songs such as Dead Girl Walking, Candy Store, and Big Fun. BUT it is NOT JUST a “big fun” musical. Despite the comedy, the show addresses the real-world issues of mental health, addiction, bullying, and assault, especially in the teenage years. As a company, we have decided to explore (via our version of the production) how a community AVOIDS addressing these issues.CASA is raising money with this production to donate to the Bail Fund to support Cincinnati protestors. We will not avoid the bullying and the mental health crisis that is overtaking our country! Please come join us and our fight to support those who stand up for others!

**The musical contains mature content and has trigger warning including death/murder, suicide, gun violence, loud noises, flashing lights, and assault.**
