Harry, a Japanese exchange student, develops an obsession for Scarlet, an anxious and melancholy Danish girl.
Sharing a secret perverted relationship with food, their mutual passion for cooking and consuming it grows into friendship. But in Harry grows a much more sinister kind of desire.
Like a grainy 1980s psycho-horror, Eating Scarlet is an homage to the lurid Italo, B-movies thrillers of the past, with nods to Japanese pink cinema genre. Shot on real super16mm film it also features an all analog & synth soundtrack.
Screened as part of Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival.
