Jennifer Lopez Radio Takeover
You can’t get bigger than Jennifer Lopez when it comes to star power! Lopez is a successful actress, singer, record producer, dancer, and fashion designer. Her latest resume addition is a judge on America’s number one TV show, American Idol.
Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), began her hard work to reach the top at age 19. Putting herself through dance school, she worked as a notary public in the Bronx, NY. Lopez got her first break in 1991 as a dancer on the comedy TV show In Living Color. She also was a back-up dancer for Janet Jackson and New Kids On The Block. Later, in 1997 Jennifer Lopez got her first big movie break when she was chosen to play the title role in Selena, telling the story of Tejano pop singer Selena. Jennifer went on to make many other blockbuster movies including The Wedding Planner, Maid In Manhattan and most recently, The Back-up Plan last year.
However, it’s was Jennifer Lopez’s music that caught the eyes of the world and helped launch her into mega-stardom. In 1999, Lopez’s debut album On The 6 (named after the New York subway line she traveled) was released. “On The 6” gave her a number one hit with “If You Had My Love”. That was only the beginning. Lopez has continued with a string of hits including “Waiting For Tonight”, “Love Don’t Cost A Thing”, “I’m Real”, “Ain’t It Funny”, “Jenny From The Block” and her latest hit, “On The Floor”. Jennifer Lopez is a household name in the Latin world too with a long line of hits over the years.
Jennifer Lopez’s personal life has been an open book for tabloids and the media as well. She has been romantically linked to Diddy and Ben Affleck. Three must be a charm because Lopez is on her third marriage. Her most recent husband is singer to Marc Anthony with whom she married in 2004. It must be working because Jennifer and Mark welcomed twins, a girl and a boy into the world in 2008.
Jennifer Lopez is more popular than ever and her music career has a new chapter with her addition to TV’s biggest show, American Idol. She owns the middle judge’s chair between Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson. On My 3rd we are proud to present an exclusive “Takeover” with the one and only Jennifer Lopez, including a listen to her music and a candid look at her life, hosted by Van McNeil.
