*WINNER OF THE STARTFEST 2014 HIGH SCHOOL CATEGORY!*
A high school girl gets a serious talk from her mother when her phone rats her out for texting and driving.
This is part of a series of videos that I created for the STARTFEST Student Video Contest of 2013. For this project, we had to create a public service announcement about texting and driving. But instead of pelting viewers with a bunch of boring facts, I decided to take a more “natural” approach and reenact a scene that most teenagers have gone through and can relate to. Seems like it would get the message across more effectively if there was a sentimental reason to not text and drive and not just do it because some Congressman tells you to.
