Last year, the 2020, was the year that taught us a whole lot of lessons on living and most interestingly on subsistence farming – which I suppose every third person got into it.
Subsistence farming is where we grow just enough food to have on our dinner plate.
You’d be living a lie if you think that your breakfast comes from the grocery shop. So in honor of the farmers near and far, here’s my little thank you.
The Farmer by Amelia Barr
The king may rule over land and sea,
The lord may live right royally,
The merchant he may buy and sell,
The teacher do his duty well;
From king to beggar, whatever befall,
The farmer he must feed them all.
